On a maritime quest

Drei Jungs in maritimen Hemden stehen auf einem Boot

Since our founding on June 3, 1994, we can look back on a very successful and varied period. In addition to our commitment to traditional shipping, the initiation and promotion of educational projects, as well as the creation of opportunities for interaction in the maritime sector, have been central to our association's work ever since.

With our "Maritime Traces" project, we want to revive this tradition. There's much to discover along the Warnow River. On our trip from the city harbor to Warnemünde, we'll focus on many Rostock businesses. How were they established, and above all, how have they developed over time? What anecdotes do our eyewitnesses recall, and what fond memories do they want to share with us? Among other things, you'll see the shipyard facilities, the fish processing plant, our seaport, the navy, and many clubs that offer maritime leisure activities. We want to share their stories with school classes and other interested visitors. These are experiences brimming with flair and pride in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
